Deposit Refund Scheme (DRS) incentivizes recycling by attaching a refundable deposit to beverage containers.

Containers are returned for refunds, reducing waste and promoting responsible disposal.
Pilot Project :
Launched in Kedarnath Temple trek with Uttarakhand Government support.
Soundboxes and Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) deployed for returns.
Role of Collection Agents ?
Collection agents are the backbone of the DRS system. They :
Monitor Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) and Soundboxes to ensure they function properly
Process returns and manage recyclables
Coordinate logistics for recyclable pickup and transport to recycling depots
Problem Statement :
Collection agents faced inefficiencies that hampered recycling operations. My role was to transform these challenges into intuitive solutions.
